IlMioSalone uses Artificial Intelligence
This page explains how we use AI in our service, in compliance with the EU Artificial Intelligence Regulation (EU AI Act, Article 52).
1. What is Athena?
Athena is the artificial intelligence assistant built into IlMioSalone. It is designed to:
- Answer questions in natural language
- Assist with appointment and customer management
- Provide contextual operational suggestions
2. How the AI works
Athena uses advanced language models (Large Language Models) provided by OpenAI. When you interact with Athena:
- Your message is analyzed to understand its intent
- Athena accesses your salon data (customers, appointments, services) to provide relevant answers
- The AI model generates a response based on the context
- The response is shown in the chat
3. Limitations and warnings
It is important that you know that:
- AI is not infallible: Athena can make mistakes or generate inaccurate answers. Always verify critical information.
- It does not replace human judgment: Important decisions must be made by competent people.
- Limited context: Athena only knows the data available in your salon and may not have external information.
- No specialist advice: Athena does not provide medical, legal, tax, or financial advice.
4. Privacy and security
- Conversations with Athena are processed through OpenAI APIs
- Data is not used to train third-party AI models (OpenAI API Data Usage Policy)
- You can disable conversation storage from Settings
- We apply security measures (Guardrails) to prevent improper use
For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Not use AI: You can manage the salon using only manual features
- Request explanations: You can ask how Athena generated a specific response
- Delete history: You can delete your conversations with Athena
- Report problems: You can report inappropriate answers or errors
